Tictactoe is Bangkok’s new dating-themed bar located on the 5th floor of Emsphere, presented by the creators of the upscale Echelon club in Thonglor.
Tictactoe sets itself apart from other bars with its alluring magenta and violet lighting that evokes the ambiance of a luxurious New York hotel lounge, without the stuffiness. The seating arrangement varies, offering public, private, and VIP areas.
Regulars of Echelon will be familiar with its high-tech sound system, and the same team has brought this technology to Tictactoe.
The venue features a state-of-the-art Void Nexus 6 speaker system, comparable to those used at renowned music festivals like Wonderfruit and Tomorrowland.
The atmosphere builds throughout the evening, starting with live music or elegant piano tunes from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. As the night progresses, a DJ ramps up the energy, encouraging everyone to dance.
The cocktail menu, featuring 11 unique drinks, mirrors the stages of forming a new romantic connection. For instance, the Break the Ice cocktail, priced at THB 390, blends umeshu and gin for a sweet and tangy experience.
For those out with friends or on a group date, the XO bowl, costing THB 2,900, is a communal option. Thursday nights offer a ladies’ night special, where groups of women receive a complimentary bottle if they arrive before 11pm.
The menu is peppered with hidden messages and playful innuendos, visible only under a black light. For those looking to make a direct impression, there’s an option to display your social media profile on the plexiglass behind the DJ booth.
