Renowned Chef Alain Ducasse To Open Culinary Schools in Thailand

Aspiring chefs will be able to hone their culinary talents with the help of a world-renowned culinary school soon.

Legendary French-born chef Alain Ducasse and his culinary school, École Ducasse, will arrive in Thailand in early 2022, starting with a studio in Nai Lert Park. The network of schools was founded in 1999 by the renowned pioneering chef, who has gained worldwide fame for his Michelin accolades.

École Ducasse was born out of the French culinary and pastry arts and offers academic courses aimed at honoring the heritage of timeless cuisine.

It will arrive in Bangkok together with École Ducasse Studio, a sub-brand that offers courses at all levels, ranging from beginner to advanced. With a diverse range of options, including short programs for food enthusiasts and three-year undergraduate or monthly intensive plans with a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and Pastry Arts, the school seeks to accommodate anyone interested in fine food.

Ducasse restaurants around the world collectively have 20 Michelin stars.

The group includes the Blue by Alain Ducasse, his restaurant in the riverside luxury mall Icon Siam, which received a star in the last Michelin guide in the country. Écola Ducasse will offer its culinary arts, pastry, and sommelier programs in Thailand, as well as exclusive courses in Thai cuisine and instruction in French cooking.

The Bangkok branch, with almost 1,000 square meters of space, will be located in Nai Lert Park.

It is expected to mark the beginning of École Ducasse Studios’ expansion, aiming at developing fine dining talent.
