Enjoy Lovely Mother’s Day Menus, Treats at InterContinental Bangkok

As Thailand prepares to celebrate Mother’s Day on August 12, families are seeking unique ways to honour the women whose love, wisdom, and devotion have influenced their lives. InterContinental Bangkok is embracing the occasion with an elegant collection of culinary experiences crafted to bring loved ones together and make the day feel truly memorable.

Summer Palace, the hotel’s award-winning Cantonese restaurant, features two sumptuous set menus perfect for cosy gatherings around the table. Meanwhile, Butter, its bakery café outlet, presents a superb selection of confections for sharing or offering as a heartfelt gift.

Whether lingering over a refined meal or enjoying an exquisitely prepared treat with mom, each experience offers families a thoughtful way to show their appreciation while creating happy moments they can look back on with gratitude long after Mother’s Day has passed.

Set on the mezzanine level of InterContinental Bangkok, Summer Palace is well known for authentic Cantonese cuisine that reflects the flavours and culinary heritage of Hong Kong, with mouthwatering à la carte specialities and a generous all-you-can-eat dim sum option.

For Mother’s Day, two specially curated set menus are available for both lunch and dinner. The first, costing 8,888 baht net, serves 4–6 diners and features appetiser highlights such as jellyfish with chilli sauce and whole roasted Peking duck, as well as main course dishes including braised black grouper, fried baby cabbage, and fried rice with Chinese sausage.

Larger groups can choose the more luxurious banquet menu, which accommodates 10–12 people and is priced at 24,888 baht net. In addition to all the lovely items from the smaller set, it features irresistible delicacies like crispy shrimp wonton and braised fish maw soup.

Experience Delectable Flavours Crafted for a Meaningful Celebration

Both menu options end with an aromatic dessert of double-boiled papaya, lotus seed, and white fungus sweetened with rock sugar. The celebration is elevated by a refreshing glass of jasmine cold-brew tea served upon arrival, while mothers dining on August 12 receive a potted jasmine tree as a treasured gift and take in live music during the lunchtime service.

Over at Butter in the hotel’s lobby area, the bakery café has garnered strong praise for the expertly crafted coffees, teas, and baked treats. In honour of Thai Mother’s Day, the venue is unveiling a limited-edition collection of sweet creations, with prices starting at 230 baht.

The offering comprises two marvellous desserts: Jasmine White Tea Coconut Sponge with white tea-jasmine cream and coconut compote for a smooth floral note, alongside Hojicha Mango Coconut and Almond Sponge filled with rich hojicha cream and coconut compote.

For those wishing to give their mum something sweet to savour at home, the same flavour combinations are also available as one- or two-pound cakes. Stylishly decorated and ideal for sharing with loved ones, they make a memorable present she can enjoy at her leisure.

Guests can sample Butter’s exclusive confections throughout August, with the bakery café welcoming visitors every day from 8am up to 7pm. At Summer Palace, the two celebratory set menus are available from August 11 to 13, served each day during the lunchtime period between 11:30am and 2:30pm, followed by dinner service that lasts from 6pm to 10.30pm.

Bringing together fine Cantonese dining and elegant delicacies, InterContinental Bangkok presents an inviting way to mark the occasion through exceptional flavours and thoughtful touches. Further details about the premium offerings can be found on the hotel’s website.
