One Bangkok, a fully integrated smart and sustainable district, has announced a partnership with Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Co., Ltd., Japan’s largest department store group, aiming to redefine the food and grocery shopping experience in Bangkok.
This strategic partnership, developed in collaboration with TCC Assets (Thailand) and Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Company Limited, is set to transform the landscape of Bangkok’s retail and office sectors.
The collaboration focuses on two primary objectives: launching the first Mitsukoshi supermarket and food hall in Thailand, and jointly investing in One Bangkok Office Tower 4, thereby enhancing One Bangkok’s stature as a global destination for businesspeople, investors, and tourists from around the world.
The Mitsukoshi supermarket at One Bangkok will cater to residents and food lovers with its unique “Depachika” concept, providing a world-class shopping experience within the One Bangkok Retail area.
Positioned on Basement Level 1 of the Parade, this renowned food destination will span more than 4,600 square meters, offering a rich and engaging culinary experience to its visitors.
The venue will feature a vast selection of international and local brands, high-quality fresh produce, meat, and fish supplied by exclusive farmer networks and trusted Japanese producers.
Beyond the supermarket’s selection, the food hall welcomes shoppers to sample their favorite dishes and treats from both established and emerging Japanese brands, as well as pastry shops, cafes, and restaurants.
The Parade will introduce “The Rhythmic Experience” concept, promising a top-tier shopping experience that establishes One Bangkok Retail as a prime destination.
Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Property Limited, highlighted the strategic alliance’s significance with Isetan Mitsukoshi, noting the company’s 350-year history and global renown.
The partnership introduces a unique Japanese dining experience to One Bangkok, positioning it as a central fixture in the retail area and offering an authentic taste of Japanese culture to both Thai residents and international visitors.
Moreover, the joint venture expands beyond retail enhancements, including co-investment in One Bangkok Office Tower 4, which is pivotal to developing a new urban epicenter that enhances Bangkok’s business and lifestyle offerings.
Toshiyuki Hosoya, President and CEO of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., remarked on Asia’s significant role for the company, with Thailand having a strong consumer base that appreciates Japanese quality and shares Isetan Mitsukoshi’s values.
“We believe that Bangkok has high potential to further drive value. The One Bangkok project, with its progressive approach in all aspects, including design and sustainability, aligns perfectly with our company’s vision and exemplifies the innovative, forward-thinking development we aim to be part of,” said Hosoya.
