Bangkok Beer People Festival To Make Its Return on March 7–9

Earlier this week, the organizers of the Beer People Festival 2025 announced the return of Bangkok’s largest beer event, scheduled from Friday, March 7, to Sunday, March 9.

The festival is slated to be held at Chang Chui Creative Park, as indicated by the tags in the announcement’s social media posts, and is expected to be the biggest Beer People Festival yet.

Sponsored by Studio11206, the festival’s comeback is eagerly anticipated by the city’s beer aficionados and up-and-coming brewers. Last year’s “Beer People Country” theme featured over 500 brands from across Thailand, organizing the festival into regions to create a mini-nation of beer.

Additionally, last month, the organizers hosted their second Beer Market at the same venue, alongside a beer-centric Halloween celebration.

Yet, the festival offers more than just beer. Last year, it also provided a platform for discussions, activism, and various performances.

In Thailand, beer is often at the center of political discussions, making the Beer People Festival a crucial event for activists challenging the outdated brewing and consumption laws.

The festival previously faced controversy in 2023 when it was forced to move from The Street Ratchada to Chatuchak due to its political implications.

The same team responsible for the Beer Market events also organizes this festival, continuously pushing for more lenient alcohol laws.

The organizers, who also run the Beer Market events at the same venue, have long advocated for more lenient alcohol laws.

The timing of the festival announcement is significant, as Thailand is poised to review the New Alcohol Control Bill, which notably includes the 2-5pm alcohol sales prohibition.
