Bangkok Hosts Inaugural “FIBA 3×3 Red Bull Champions Cup”

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) is set to unveil its latest tournament, the “FIBA 3×3 Red Bull Champions Cup,” which will take place in front of CentralWorld on Ratchadamri Road, Bangkok.

This exciting event is scheduled from Friday, March 14 to Sunday, March 16, running daily from 4 PM to 10 PM.

The Champions Cup will assemble the world’s elite in 3×3 basketball, featuring the top 16 men’s and women’s teams.

Competitors include winners from continental cups across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa; top-ranked teams from the FIBA 3×3 rankings; reigning Paris Olympic gold medalists; and the host nation’s team.

The men’s roster boasts teams from Serbia; the US; France; the Netherlands; Austria; Australia; Thailand; and Madagascar. The women’s teams hail from powerhouses such as China; France; Spain; Germany; Canada; Australia; Thailand; and Madagascar.

These teams will battle in a dynamic, half-court setup that has rapidly gained international popularity, offering a fresh and exhilarating challenge to traditional basketball formats.

Victors of the Champions Cup will not only gain prestige but also secure their spot in the next Champions Cup in 2026 and the World Cup 2026.

Moreover, the victorious men’s national federation will earn two coveted spots on this year’s World Tour, whereas the top women’s team will receive wildcards to participate as a guest in five FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series events in 2025.
