Celebrated Thai Chefs Unite To Organize Charity Brunch Event

Two of Thailand’s most celebrated culinary figures are coming together to host a charity brunch, titled “International Chefs Day: The Living Legend Chefs Charity Brunch For UNHCR.”

The event will take place at Blue Elephant Sukhumvit Thai Heritage Cuisine, located on Sukhumvit 13, this Sunday, October 19, from 11am to 2pm.

This dining experience is in honor of International Chefs Day, a global celebration of chefs’ dedication and skill, while also raising funds for UNHCR’s efforts to support refugees facing humanitarian crises worldwide.

“This charity brunch not only aims to make a significant impact on the lives of refugees but also to present the legendary chefs and their culinary masterpieces as a form of soft power,” said chef Nooror Somany Steppe, the master chef and owner of the Blue Elephant restaurants, renowned for serving royal Thai cuisine.

Joining chef Nooror will be Michelin-starred chef Supinya Junsuta, better known as Jay Fai, who will delight guests with her specially crafted dishes.

Chef Nooror will feature her famous massaman lamb and the iconic foie gras with tamarind sauce, alongside a lavish selection of other gourmet dishes.

Meanwhile, chef Jay Fai will showcase her renowned crab omelette, which will be auctioned as a highlight of the event.

Guests can also enjoy special activities such as a charity raffle and live performances by popular Thai DJs.

In addition, veteran artist Vorasan Supap will offer some of his artworks for auction. Over the past 30 years, he has earned acclaim for capturing the essence of local life with deep passion and dedication.

The cost to attend is 5,500 baht per person, with part of the proceeds going to support UNHCR’s mission.
