Central Park, Bangkok’s latest destination, marked a defining milestone with “Central Park The Grand Celebration,” a marvellous event that emphasized its standing as a world-class mixed-use icon at the centre of the city’s Central Business District and urban lifestyle hub.
Held on Wednesday, March 25, this showcase featured a superb selection of experiences throughout the distinct development, lasting from day into night. The evening programme was attended by several distinguished celebrities, artists, and influential figures, including Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, alongside senior executives from Central Pattana.
Under the theme “Here for All of You,” significant highlights of this occasion comprised an impressive 360-degree rooftop stage and mesmerizing drone choreography, which came together to create a fantastic atmosphere that deeply captivated everyone in attendance.
A Vibrant Initiative Uniting Retail, Dining, and Lifestyle in One Venue
Forming part of Dusit Central Park, the compelling project is a joint venture between Dusit Thani and Central Pattana, converging shopping, office, hotel, and residential aspects into a seamlessly connected precinct. The Central Park complex, encompassing the sprawling retail zone and office building, has now reached 100% completion and is fully operational.
The celebration also underscored the venue’s proven success as Asia’s culinary landmark by presenting a wonderful array of restaurants, bars, Michelin-starred establishments, and cafés—reinforcing it as a robust base for phenomenal gastronomy from around the world.
Adding to its allure, several leading brands have opened shops within the property across sports, fashion, beauty, and more. ZARA’s upcoming 2,500-square-meter location is set to deliver an immersive experience, further elevating the mall’s curated and refined offering.
Dusit Arun Roof Park on Level 6 was the staggering backdrop for “Central Park The Grand Celebration’s” main event in the evening, led by PP Krit Amnuaydechkorn, a famous actor, singer, and fashion icon, who electrified the enthusiastic crowds with numerous hit songs.
He later shared the 360-degree stage with Violette Wautier, the prominent artist noted for her emotive vocals and elevated sense of style. Together, they presented newly-arranged pieces, designed by Pinchanan “Prin” Jaiprasong from Mahidol University, and performed live for the very first time by the highly recognised Thailand Philharmonic Pops Orchestra.
Built around the concept “A Celebration of Life Under the Same Horizon,” the tremendous spectacle blended mind-blowing visuals with immersive sound, while the open-air energy of the park contributed to the ambience, leaving audiences captivated from start to finish.
Mesmerising Drone Choreography Lighting Up Bangkok’s Night Sky
Complementing the musical showcase, a captivating drone show featuring more than 600 synchronized drones illuminated the night sky. The display unveiled a series of messages, including “Here for All of You” and “Central Park,” as well as a number of intricate patterns and visual artistry, which beautifully formed an extraordinary projection across the skyline.
This event culminated in an afterparty headlined by GALCHANIE, a terrific R&B-pop singer known for her song “Baby Tee”, as top DJ and fashion influencer DJ AN!KA worked up the crowd through numerous energetic tracks, bringing the festivities to an exhilarating close.
Earlier in the day, a selection of activities took place on the mall’s first floor, consisting of a live soul and R&B set, courtesy of Tabitha King and Valentina Ploy, a lifestyle workshop by Divana, and a ‘Troop Model’ fashion show presenting over 20 looks from multiple brands.
Furthermore, Parkside Hall on the ground floor staged a concert boasting emerging T-Pop groups VVV and CIR*CRL, who delivered pulsating performances and interacted with fans through engagements that brought dynamism and excitement to the daytime programme.
Prior to the main evening schedule, the same venue played host to a delightful red carpet event in partnership with Thonburi Panich, Thailand’s first Mercedes-Benz dealer. A roster of prestigious artists and celebrities graced the gathering, among them Namtan Tipnaree, Keen Suvijak, Benz Khaokwan, and Mean Phiravich, lending a sense of allure to the night.
