Global dance music followers are buzzing with excitement as Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Thailand has announced its third edition in December, on the back of the record-breaking January festival that drew over 100,000 attendees across three days of special moments.
Held at Phuket’s Rhythm Park from January 16–18, this spectacle set a new benchmark for major entertainment in Thailand, showcasing a remarkable EDC event along with top DJs, awe-inspiring art installations, and extraordinary stage design — further strengthening the nation’s renowned reputation as a world-class destination for premier music celebrations.
Building on the reception, EDC Thailand 2026 is now scheduled to return from December 18–20, elevating the get-together by blending EDC’s signature sounds, immersive visuals, and local charm to reimagine the gathering into a multi-sensory party under the vivid sky.
An Extravaganza Boasting Terrific Stages and Top-Notch Production
EDC made its Thai debut in early 2025, officially adding the country to its rapidly maturing worldwide lineup. Since then, the energetic occasion has grown enormously in both scale and ambition, with its second season earlier this month revealing a production of a similar standard to EDC Las Vegas, the biggest electronic dance music festival in North America.
The Phuket showcase is jointly produced by Future Vibes, Thailand’s leading international music event organiser, and Insomniac, the global entertainment firm behind Electric Daisy Carnival — a partnership that continues to heighten Thailand’s standing on the EDM map.
Among the major highlights of the latest edition were the captivating stages, including the splendid kineticFIELD area, alongside circuitGROUNDS, featuring commanding LED walls and pyrotechnics, as well as stereoBLOOM, which unveiled a great range of music styles.
In addition, the programme included BionicJUNGLE, a house-music–specialised stage set amid a stunning backdrop, and the roaming Boombox Art Car, hosting an intimate hip-hop sound experience along with a great mix of local and regional artists across the schedule.
Over three days, 120 acts appeared within five charged zones, as superstar DJ Tiësto and progressive house icon deadmau5 played spellbinding headline sessions. The roster also featured Dutch showman Afrojack joined by British drum-and-bass duo Chase and Status, uniting chart-leading performers and esteemed names from the enchanting dance scene.
Beyond the beats, Downtown EDC became an outpost of EDM culture and Phuketian flair, while the Wedding Chapel and Kandi Casino brought playful vibes. This gives you an idea of what to expect later this year, when EDC Thailand returns, bigger and better than ever!
Reshaping This Next Installment Around a Destination-Led Concept
This third chapter sees EDC Thailand adopt a planned move to December, leaving behind its prior January dates. The amended timing positions the bash within the global year-end revelry while synchronising with Phuket’s main travel period, offering exceptional weather conditions and increased flexibility for foreign travellers hoping to partake in longer stays.
Complementing the proceedings, partygoers can attend a curated assortment of pre- and post-festival events hosted around Phuket. These shindigs ramp up the EDC atmosphere, turning the island into a playground for connection, adventure, and after-hours carousing.
The recently introduced All-Access Experience Pass maximizes the overall journey, giving access to an opening beach party on Thursday. It also unlocks a host of daytime activities from Friday through Sunday, and prolongs the festivities beyond nighttime performances.
Hotel EDC will also return, offering guests a vibrant weekend of EDC-themed experiences as well as bundled perks, encompassing select EDC merchandise, wellness sessions, and shuttle services for simple transportation between hotels, venues, and principal locations.
