Southeast Asia’s leading super app Grab has demonstrated its commitment to meeting all consumers’ needs with the launch of GrabPet, an on-demand service created to transport dogs, cats and other beloved pets of those who are resident in Thailand.
GrabPet has officially been launched in Bangkok, with the service allowing users to book pet-friendly rides anywhere, anytime, with rates starting at THB 95.
Pet owners can count on Grab’s partner-drivers to provide a professional and safe ride as drivers have been expertly taught how to handle pets by certified trainers.
Currently, there are limited options for transporting pets in the Thai capital and beyond, which Grab aims to solve by providing consumers with the new GrabPet service.
“Grab is now launching our new service GrabPet as an alternative for pet owners who might not have personal cars nor prefer driving,” Chantsuda Thananitayaudom, Grab’s Head of Country Marketing and Partnership in Thailand, said at the launch of GrabPet.
Pets and their owners can now partake in out-of-home activities, such as taking your pets for exercise, visiting the vet for check-ups, or attending grooming appointments. GrabPet focuses on three important areas to provide the best possible experience: convenience, safety, and affordability are key factors of their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Patrons can choose between two vehicle sizes, with GrabPet offering regular cars for small and medium-sized animals, whereas GrabPet XL’s spacious SUVs are perfect to accommodate any of your cherished pets that are perhaps on the larger side.
There is compensation coverage of up to THB 20,000 if you are involved in an accident: pet owners can travel safe in the knowledge that their welfare, and the welfare of their pets, is Grab’s priority, who run the same service in Singapore and the Philippines.
Grab is going the extra mile with foldable seats in vehicles that are suitable for pets, as well as making cleaning kits accessible for drivers to ensure their fleet is well-maintained and sanitized. That means, no unpleasant odours or unwanted hairballs to contend with.
GrabPet is attractively priced and offers rates that start from THB 95 for regular GrabPet vehicles, and THB 145 for GrabPet XL SUVs for those pets that take up a lot of room.
There are some launch benefits for pet owners using the service, as Grab has partnered with Mars Thailand Inc. to give away free, premium pet food samples to customers this November. Mars Thailand Inc. is the leading distributor of dog and cat food products in America, including popular brands such as IAMS, Cesar, and Sheba.
Grab have also organized a special discount of 30% for GrabPet users to redeem when ordering pet foods from these three brands through their GrabMart shopping portal.
“We hope GrabPet shall fulfill the lifestyle needs of passengers who require pet-friendly transport that offers not only convenience, but also safety with reasonable price for all,” Chantsuda added, as her company unveiled the handy addition to the local pet-owning community.
