Bangkok’s sky will light up with eco-friendly fireworks as Lalisa ‘Lisa’ Manobal, Thailand’s renowned singer and style icon, headlines the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025 at Iconsiam from December 29 to 31.
The event, themed “Iconic Celebration of Thai-Global Phenomena,” offers a vibrant showcase of Thailand’s spirit, welcoming the New Year 2025 against the stunning backdrop of the Chao Phraya River.
This three-day festivity aims to cement Thailand’s position as the premier global destination for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
“With a vision to elevate Thailand’s global standing as the top countdown destination, Iconsiam is allocating a significant investment in this extraordinary event,” said Supoj Chaiwatsirikul, managing director of Iconsiam.
“To curate a ‘World Captivating Phenomena,’ we invite Lisa, a world-renowned rapper, singer, dancer, and style icon who has brought global fame to Thailand and inspired people worldwide, to perform against the most magnificent scenery of the Chao Phraya River, bringing joy to Thais and international visitors on countdown night,” he added.
“The event aims to attract over 20 million guests both in person and through live broadcasts across the nation and worldwide. This will uplift Thailand’s image and stimulate the economy, especially the tourism sector.”
Earlier this year, Lisa established her own venture, LLOUD, to promote her artistic and entertainment endeavors.
In collaboration with RCA Records, she returned to the music scene in June with her solo single ‘Rockstar,’ produced by Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee, with a music video set in Yaowarat to celebrate her Thai heritage.
Expanding her musical landscape, she collaborated with Grammy-winning artist Rosalía on their track ‘New Woman’ and released her song ‘Moonlit Floor’ at the Global Citizen Festival 2024 in September. She also put her unique spin on the 90s classic ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None the Richer.
