Singha Park Chiang Rai is all set to host South East Asia’s largest hot air balloon festival in February, with over 30 balloons from 13 countries expected to grace the skies high above Thailand’s stunning Northern terrain, offering amazing views of rolling hills and lush fields.

The seventh edition of the International Balloon Fiesta promises an incredible experience to start 2025 off right, blending vibrant hot air balloons and cultural performances. This is the biggest and best balloon display in ASEAN, which gets more popular annually thanks in a large part to social media users posting extraordinary photos and videos of the affair.

A highlight of the festival is sure to be the Valentine’s Day “Balloon Love” event, where 15 couples will go on a romantic journey, exploring Chiang Rai’s picturesque landscape. The once-in-a-lifetime adventure provides the ideal setting to create unforgettable memories.

Visitors can look forward to a riveting spectacle as they witness a high-stakes competitive balloon race unfold, giving a lucky winner a 100,000 baht grand prize to take home! Light and sound shows are also going to leave attendees amazed, featuring superb AV effects.

Beyond the balloons, the breathtaking festival plays a crucial role in boosting tourism and generating revenue for the region. With thousands of observers anticipated, this gripping event is more than likely to bring immense economic benefits to Chiang Rai, while vividly revealing this area full of cultural significance and natural beauty to the rest of the world.

At this year’s gathering, a large-scale outdoor Khon dance extravaganza will entertain the audience, when 160 Wang Na artists and local youth performers hit the stage. Scheduled for February 14-15, the special Thai show adds an element of heritage to the production.

Festivalgoers can look forward to performances by top Thai artists like BODYSLAM, MILLI, and BOWKYLION, as well as getting the opportunity to explore Chiang Rai Brewtopia, the speciality coffee exhibition. They may also want to check out the farm tours, flower fields, ATV rides, and zip-lining, all playing vital roles in making this an unmissable get-together!
