Splash Jungle Water Park: One of Phuket’s Premier Attractions

Whether you’re visiting or live within the sun-drenched province of Phuket, Splash Jungle Water Park makes for a great day out! Cool off from the intense heat of Southern Thailand and enjoy some memorable moments with family or friends, as you have twelve different water slides and rides to discover which your group are all sure to love, especially kids.

The water park is situated in close proximity to Mai Khao Beach: it is the longest beach in Phuket at eleven kilometers in length, and a very popular place to stay for holidaymakers. Mai Khao is a short distance from Phuket International Airport and Splash Jungle benefits from the airport’s good road links – it’s easily accessible from anywhere on the island.

Among the park’s many attractions are a 335-meter Lazy River water ride that meanders along with visitors floating on tubes, relaxing in the sunshine while they top up their tans. Splash Jungle is up there as one of Thailand’s best water parks for good reason, giving guests a wet and wild experience to remember, packed full of thrills and enjoyment.

A Must-Visit Destination Offering Fun for All the Family

Splash Jungle, the first water park to open in Phuket back in 2010, is set over six acres of land and has been designed to international standards, with attractions that will entertain visitors of all ages. It’s an oasis for your entire family, and makes for the perfect venue on a sunny day to kick back and enjoy some thrilling rides, cool beverages and tasty bites.

As can be seen in the photo above, there is a children’s pool called Aqua Play that has a number of small sliders, waterfalls and water games for guests to explore. Every now and then, a giant water bomb cannon at the top of the kid’s playground will dump its contents to create a huge splash, giving youngsters an opportunity to cool off in the fierce heat.

Boomerango, seen below, is an enjoyable and exhilarating water slide where riders, once they’ve picked up a tube, are shot up a vertical wall and then propelled back down over a 15-metre high transition bump, before their arrival in a splashdown pool. The vertical wall of Boomerango is certainly scary, but also one of the park’s most popular attractions!

The Family Raft Ride at Splash Jungle, seen above, has room for all the family to go on an aquatic adventure in a large raft reaching speeds of up to 33 km/h. Surprise drops, twists, and turns are plentiful on this ride – it is worth noting that the rafts are designed to allow kids to sit side-by-side with their parents so they can confidently navigate every corner.

Whizzard features in our main photo at the top: riders choose one of the brightly-coloured enclosed AquaTubes to take on, that spiral alongside each other through six parallel lanes into a 360-degree loop! Slide down at a rapid speed, before you reach the culmination of the ride – the surprise drop is exciting, and guaranteed to make your adrenaline rush.

Safety is the priority at Splash Jungle, who make sure their large, extensively-trained team of lifeguards are always alert, and ready to assist in case of an emergency. Lifejackets are given free of charge to younger visitors and anyone lacking confidence in their swimming ability, while height restrictions are also enforced by staff members at all of the rides.

Beat the Phuket Heat With a Visit to Splash Jungle!

Another ride that you shall not want to miss is the Super Bowl, seen above – Grab a tube and lie back, while centrifuge forces lift you high up on the sides of the structure. You will have a rip-roaring good time from start to finish as you’re sucked into a hole in the centre, before riders are transported swiftly by a slide into the splashdown pool at the bottom.

Once you have been down the big slides several times, there’s also a nice little wave pool and a relaxing hot spring pool to try, where you can shower under refreshing waterfalls or take a high-pressure water jet massage, both of which are undoubtedly rejuvenating.

A cold beer or cocktail at the pool bar is a great way to end the day, and the food on offer is also decent including a delicious selection of freshly-made pizzas to choose from.
