Thailand Becomes Porsche’s Biggest Market in Asia Pacific

Porsche Thailand has experienced strong growth during the first half of this year, making significant progress within the e-mobility industry.

The Thai market has become the biggest in the Porsche Asia Pacific region after they reached a record 122% increase in vehicles delivered year-over-year.

Their all-electric Taycan accounted for a quarter of all sales and according to the automaker, 71% of all Taycan buyers are new Porsche customers.

Porsche also reached a new delivery record during the first half of this year, not only in the Asia Pacific region, but also worldwide.

Globally, Porsche was able to make delivery of 153,000 vehicles, representing a 31% increase over the previous year.

Porsche Asia Pacific achieved 87% growth during its best performing first half of the year for the sales region.

Khun Thanabodee Kulthol, Sales Director of Porsche Thailand, said: “We are encouraged by the growing enthusiasm we see for the Porsche brand and our sports cars in Thailand,” adding that the brand had experienced a solid start to 2021 in terms of their sales.

“We have made remarkable progress in electric mobility, with every one out of four cars retailed being the all-electric Taycan,” he added.

As the market grows and the company enhances its performance across the region, Porsche Thailand is working hard to accelerate and improve the electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience in the Kingdom.

Porsche has officially launched its full Taycan range in Thailand, including its Taycan Cross Turismo, which offers more than 600 personalization options for devotees to choose from.

Moreover, all Porsche Thailand’s customers will be assisted by certified professional electric vehicle technicians whenever their cars require maintenance.

Porsche Center Bangkok and Porsche Center Pattanakarn have been authorized and equipped to perform diagnosis and servicing of the manufacturer’s electric vehicles, as well as Porsche batteries’ testing and storage, according to the brand’s standards.

Taycan owners can also enjoy the comprehensive maintenance and warranty program offered by Porsche Thailand for all its cars, which includes battery coverage for eight years.

Porsche Thailand also promises to expand its charging solutions for customers, extending the Porsche Destination Charging network to Central Chitlom and Central Embassy.
