In celebration of Global Wellness Day, the Oriental Spa at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is hosting a unique selection of free activities themed “Tech Detox Escapes” on Saturday, starting from 6 am and running until 7 pm.
Recent research reveals that Thais devote roughly a third of their waking hours to internet use across various devices. Such extensive digital engagement can lead to health concerns including smartphone syndrome and increased feelings of isolation.
The upcoming activities are designed to mitigate these issues by offering a much-needed break from technology, encouraging participants to seize opportunities for disconnection as an act of self-care.
The schedule includes a revitalizing “Awaken Yoga” session along the River of Kings at 6 am, a “Blessing Run” covering 4.7 km to nine temples, sessions of “Ice & Fire Renewal” and “Hipnotic Dance,” and ending with a calming “Moonlight Bath Ritual” at 7 pm.
This distinctive event pays tribute to the natural cycles of the Sun and Moon, promoting a harmonious lifestyle. It welcomes both hotel guests and the public.
Guests have the opportunity to register for any individual activity that catches their interest or opt for the entire day’s schedule for a truly comprehensive experience.
Each session is designed to offer a unique aspect of wellness and tranquility, allowing participants to tailor their day to their own wellness needs.
