Bangkok Police Arrest German Hacker Wanted on 74 Warrants

Bangkok police have arrested a German national wanted on 74 warrants across Europe over his alleged role in ransomware operations and cyberattack-for-hire platforms linked to widespread global disruption.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Noah Christopher, was detained on Friday at a condominium in Thong Lor Soi 25, in the Watthana district.

Officers from the Immigration Bureau and the Technology Crime Suppression Division said he is sought by authorities in Germany and across the European Union for offences believed to have been carried out between 2021 and 2025.

Investigators allege that Mr Christopher created ransomware tools and operated a Cybercrime-as-a-Service (CaaS) network, enabling clients to launch Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

Authorities said he was behind platforms including Fluxstress and Neldowner, which were used to facilitate and promote cybercrime activities.

These services reportedly allowed users worldwide to commission DDoS attacks that disrupted targeted systems and websites, often in exchange for payments made in cryptocurrencies, forming part of a transnational cybercrime network.

“The European Union and German courts have issued as many as 74 warrants against the suspect, but he fled and lived in several countries, including Dubai, China and others, as well as Thailand,” said Pol Maj Gen Phanop Wothanatchakul, commander of the Immigration Bureau’s Investigation Division.

Police tracked Mr Christopher to a residence in the Thong Lor area before coordinating with cybercrime officers to execute a search and collect further evidence. Authorities are also examining whether any offences were committed within Thailand, Pol Maj Gen Phanop said.

His visa has been revoked, and he remains in custody pending extradition to Germany.

Pol Lt Gen Phanumas Boonyalak, commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, said authorities have intensified checks on foreign nationals suspected of evading justice abroad, particularly those wanted by Interpol or international security agencies, and who may pose risks to public safety in Thailand.
