Aetna and AstraZeneca Team Up To Offer Innovative Services

Aetna Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and AstraZeneca (Thailand) Ltd have teamed up to set up a new facility aimed at providing entertainment to young patients suffering from respiratory diseases during their nebulization treatment.

It’s a pediatric Respiratory Care & Nebulization capability at the Aetna Family Clinic Nichada Thani branch equipped with LCD screens.

Aetna is a specialist health insurance provider with over four decades of experience in Thailand. It has a health services unit committed to providing first-class preventive and primary care both virtually and physically.

Partnerships in the healthcare ecosystem, including the one between AstraZeneca and Omron, are an important way to achieve these goals.

Mr. James Teague, Country President, AstraZeneca (Thailand) Ltd, said: “AstraZeneca (Thailand) is pleased to launch this Respiratory collaboration with Aetna Health Services, and is focused on improving access to medicine and healthcare innovation.”

“This collaboration brings a proven respiratory solution closer to the patient, improving access across the health ecosystem and ultimately leading to enhanced patient outcomes,” he added.

Aetna’s collaboration with AstraZeneca comes as another example of the company’s ongoing investment in its healthcare offering. Besides, it includes other benefits such as new capabilities in pediatrics, intravenous therapies, workplace wellness, and home and community care services.

Additionally, Aetna launched its vHealth app in 2019 to “help people on their paths to better health.”

Aetna’s vHealth has seen exponential growth each year since its launch as members seek to avoid crowded hospitals and clinics amid the COVID-19 pandemic for fear of disease transmission.

In 2020, it received an award for best product innovation.
