All Thais Urged To Leave Israel and Iran Amid Rising Tensions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Thai nationals residing in Israel and Iran to leave immediately, citing escalating violence and heightened risk in both countries.

Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa said the directive comes as tensions continue to rise, posing increasing danger to those in the region.

According to the minister, 35 Thai nationals in Iran have taken shelter at a temporary refuge centre, while five have already signalled their intent to leave the country. In Israel, three Thai nationals have informed authorities of their plans to depart.

Thai embassies in both Tel Aviv and Tehran have been instructed to provide full support and facilitate safe and swift evacuations. The ministry has also deployed senior officials to both locations to help ensure rapid assistance for Thai citizens.

Minister Maris warned that Thai nationals should not delay their departure while safe passage remains an option. He urged anyone needing help to contact their respective embassies without hesitation.

In a related move, the Ministry of Labour has established dedicated coordination centres in Israel and Iran to monitor the situation and support Thai workers.

Permanent Secretary Boonsong Thapchaiyuth confirmed that, so far, there have been no reports of Thai casualties or injuries.

He encouraged Thai workers in both countries to download the “Smart TOEA” mobile application, available on Android and iOS, and enable location tracking.

This will allow rescue teams to monitor their location in real time and provide immediate support in case of emergencies.
