New Industrial City Set To Drive Thai Industrial Tech Ecosystem

Thailand’s new industrial city, “Araya The Eastern Gateway,” which spans 4,600 rai (736 hectares) in Samut Prakan province, is poised to boost the country’s industrial tech ecosystem.

Located at KM32 on Bang Na-Trat Road, the project was launched on Tuesday under the banner of “Araya Land Development,” a collaboration among three industrial powerhouses: Frasers Property Thailand, Rojana Industrial Park, and Asia Industrial Estate.

The city not only offers an industrial estate to support entrepreneurs but also features a campus for industrial and technology development, a logistics park for product distribution, zones for lifestyle and amenities, and a residential project.

Strategically positioned on the outskirts of Bangkok, it connects to Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Eastern Economic Corridor, and Laem Chabang Port, making it an ideal hub for business, logistics, industry, and international trade.

Kamonkarn Kongkathong, managing director of Araya Land Development, stated that the development of the industrial city is designed to lead the way in fostering an ecosystem of industrial innovation, advanced technology, and logistics in Thailand.

She anticipates that the facilities and infrastructure of the city will enhance Thailand’s capacity to attract foreign investment and boost the economy.

“Araya The Eastern Gateway is not just an industrial estate but an industrial and innovation city,” according to Kamonkarn, who notes that the investment and expertise of the three companies involved will have a significant positive impact on Thailand’s economy, society, community, and environment.

Kamonkarn also mentioned that the industrial city has attracted interest from investors across various industries, including semiconductors, electronics, electric vehicles, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and data centers.
