Thailand’s Prime Minister, Paetongtarn “Ung Ing” Shinawatra, and her husband, Pitaka Suksawat, possess assets totaling 13.9 billion baht, including two residences in London and two land plots in Hokkaido, Japan.
Their combined debts total approximately 4.4 billion baht, as reported by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
On Friday, the NACC disclosed the asset and liability details of Ms. Paetongtarn, who assumed office as the 31st prime minister on September 6 of the previous year, following the Constitutional Court’s decision to remove Srettha Thavisin from the position on August 14.
According to the declaration, the couple’s total assets are valued at 13.99 billion baht, with Ms. Paetongtarn’s personal assets at 13.84 billion baht and Mr. Pitaka’s at 141.11 million baht. Their children’s assets are worth 500,000 baht.
Their overall debt stands at 4.44 billion baht, with Ms. Paetongtarn owing 4.43 billion baht and Mr. Pitaka owing 1.17 billion baht.
Ms. Paetongtarn, 38, reported an annual income of 265 million baht, which includes a 3.40 million baht salary, 259.26 million baht in dividends, 2 million baht from interest, and 890,000 baht in rental income.
Her yearly expenses amount to 57.72 million baht, consisting of 45 million baht for personal expenditures and 12.72 million baht for household expenses.

Ms. Paetongtarn, the youngest daughter of former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, maintains cash in various currencies, has deposits in 29 bank accounts, and investments in 32 funds and companies.
Her portfolio includes ownership of twelve land plots: three plots in Pathum Thani province, collectively valued at 9.9 million baht, and two plots in Hokkaido, acquired on December 15, 2019, for 15 million baht each.
Additionally, she possesses two rental properties in London—one valued at 111.61 million baht and the other at 208.34 million baht—along with five condominiums in Bangkok, two houses in Nonthaburi and Bangkok, and several commercial buildings in Phetchaburi.
Ms. Paetongtarn’s vehicle collection consists of 23 luxury cars from prestigious brands, including a Bentley priced at 10.6 million baht and a Rolls-Royce Phantom worth 6.7 million baht.
Her additional assets encompass gold bars weighing a total of 75 baht, valued at approximately 3 million baht, 75 high-end watches with an estimated value of 162 million baht, nine Bearbrick collectible figures priced at 1.9 million baht, and 217 designer bags totaling 76.65 million baht.
A spokesperson from the ruling Pheu Thai Party verified that the asset figures reported by the press are correct.
Thaksin, the prime minister’s father and predecessor, who previously owned the Manchester City football club, has an estimated net worth of US$2.1 billion according to Forbes, ranking him as the 11th wealthiest individual in Thailand.
Having built his fortune through the Shin Corp telecommunications conglomerate, Thaksin leveraged his financial success to enter politics. Despite his exile following a military coup on September 19, 2006, his family continues to hold significant influence.
