Thailand Unveils New One-Stop Service for Investment and Visas

Thailand has introduced the Thailand Investment and Expat Services Centre (TIESC), a new one-stop service designed to streamline investment and visa processes for foreign investors and expatriates.

The center was inaugurated on Monday by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra at the One Bangkok building in the Pathum Wan district, located at the intersection of Witthayu and Rama IV roads next to Lumpini Park.

Occupying the 6th and 7th floors of the Parade Zone, the TIESC represents a collaborative effort among the Board of Investment, the Immigration Bureau, and the Department of Employment.

It offers a range of services, including investment assistance, visa processing, and work permit issuance.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering investment by leveraging modern technology and digital innovations.

She highlighted the significance of this initiative, especially at a time when Thailand is experiencing a crucial transition.

Last year, the country saw a surge in investment applications, with more than 3,100 projects totaling 1.1 trillion baht, marking the highest level in a decade.

The TIESC aims to accomplish far more than merely providing services; it is designed to act as a significant conduit for cultural exchange and to foster ample opportunities and growth between Thailand and the global community.

Furthermore, while addressing the launch of the new center, the Prime Minister extended her heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the recent earthquake.

She also reassured both investors and tourists about Thailand’s ongoing commitment to safety and stability.
