A 26-year-old Welsh traveler went missing in Thailand, causing concern among his family and friends who have not heard from him in more than four weeks.
Daniel Davies, from Llanelli, last communicated with his family on March 13 while staying at the Hangover Hostel in Bangkok. He was subsequently spotted on Koh Phi Phi, an island that is hugely popular among British tourists.
His loved ones have stated that his disappearance is extremely unusual for him.
The Dyfed-Powys Police have initiated a missing person report and are collaborating with Thai police to locate Daniel. His family expresses increasing anxiety as more time elapses without any news of his whereabouts.
Daniel’s aunt, Nicola Doran, has made a public plea, stating, “My nephew, Daniel Davies, is missing in Bangkok, Thailand. He has been officially reported missing. We haven’t been able to contact him for weeks.”
Lucia Froom, a close friend, remarked, “Daniel’s phone is switched off, and no one has heard from him in weeks, which isn’t like him at all. If anyone knows anyone in Thailand or is planning a trip there soon, can people please keep an eye out for him?”
Daniel is described as approximately 6 feet tall, with a slim build, blonde hair, a beard, and tattoos covering both arms.
The charity Echoes of the Lost, working in partnership with SARS Cymru, has become involved in the search and is calling on the public for assistance.
A representative from the organization said, “Daniel, if you happen to see this post, please get in contact with your family. They are worried. If you wish to message us to pass information along, please feel free to do so.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the authorities or get in touch with the family through missing persons channels.
