Lisa Manobal, popularly known as “Lisa” from the global sensation BLACKPINK, dazzled attendees and viewers alike at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards held at UBS Arena in New York.
Not only did she deliver a mesmerizing performance, but she also clinched the Best K-Pop award for a second time, underscoring her towering presence in the genre.
Dressed to impress, Lisa graced the black carpet in a celestial gown custom-made by Mugler, complemented by elegant Bvlgari jewels.
The ensemble set the stage for her solo performances of the hits “Rockstar” and “New Woman,” both of which highlighted her evolution as an artist with a more mature persona.
Her dynamic showcase garnered applause and acclaim, emphasizing that her star power is just as luminous solo as it is with BLACKPINK.
Notables such as Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Sabrina Carpenter, and Camila Cabello were among the celebrities spotted in the audience, all captivated by Lisa’s commanding stage presence.
The evening’s pinnacle was undoubtedly Lisa’s victory in the Best K-Pop category, where she triumphed over formidable nominees like Jungkook (BTS) with “Seven,” NCT DREAM with “Smoothie,” NewJeans with “Super Shy,” Stray Kids with “LALALALA,” and TXT with “Deja Vu.”

“I want to thank my RCA family, Team LLoud, and especially the Blinks and Lilies all around the world. Thank you so much for this award. Khop khun ka!” she concluded in Thai.
This achievement marked Lisa’s second accolade in the Best K-Pop category at the VMAs, her first being in 2022 for the song “Money.” This repeat victory not only celebrates her individual artistry but also reaffirms her influential role in the ever-evolving K-Pop landscape.
