Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez took another step forward this weekend: acting like one big blended family with all of their children in tow.
On Saturday, JLo’s twins, Max and Emme, joined Ben’s kids to enjoy some magic at The Magic Castle in Hollywood.
Ben has three children, Violet, Samuel, and Seraphina. The actor’s mom, Chris, also joined the group over the weekend, TMZ reported.
After the couple spent a fun weekend with their families, a source told People: “They want all the kids to get to know each other.”
“Since Jennifer and Ben are in it for the long run, it’s just a natural step that they all spend time together with the kids,” the source added.
The insider told People that Ben and JLo were not trying to rush anything, but they want the kids to spend time together.
“They are making the last few days of summer as fun as they can. Soon it’s back to school and work,” the source went on.
But the visit to the magicians and magic enthusiasts nightclub wasn’t the first time the two families got together.
On Friday night, the couple took the children to learn about the Constitution and the Founding Fathers.
The family, except for 9-year-old Samuel, went to the Pantages Theater in Hollywood to see “Hamilton.”
Ben and Jen were seen hugging and kissing during the performance.
The 49-year-old actor had a full day with the kids. Early on Friday, he took them to the Century City Mall.
Rumor suggests that it is “a matter of time” until Bennifer, as fans affectionately call the couple, move in together.
Sources told the media that the couple had been looking for luxurious homes in Los Angeles, where Jen is also trying to find schools for her children.
Emme and Max are “onboard with starting fresh in Los Angeles,” a source previously told PEOPLE, adding: “They are slowly getting to know Ben.”
An insider also said Jennifer was “serious” about her relationship with Ben, stating that the singer hasn’t looked happy for a long time.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance in late April, nearly two decades after getting engaged and postponing their wedding.
