Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez, in a private civil ceremony in Portugal.
The wedding was described as a “private and intimate moment,” with the couple’s five children joining them for the occasion. Ronaldo confirmed the news by sharing a photograph of the newlyweds’ hands displaying their wedding rings.
The ceremony comes one year after Rodríguez, 32, revealed their engagement on Instagram on August 11, 2025. At the time, she posted a close-up photograph of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, showing off a large oval-shaped diamond ring.
“Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,” she wrote, meaning: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The couple are raising five children together: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, nine; Alana, eight; Bella, four; and Ronaldo’s 16-year-old son, Cristiano Jr., from a previous relationship.
In April 2022, Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced that Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, had died shortly after birth.
Their relationship began in 2017 after they met while Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. The couple made their first public appearance at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January that year before confirming their romance on Instagram several months later.
Ronaldo later discussed the beginning of their relationship in Rodríguez’s 2022 Netflix reality series, “I Am Georgina.”
The footballer said he initially considered Rodríguez a “very interesting girl, so much more mature for her age,” but admitted he had not expected their relationship to become so serious.
He told viewers he “didn’t think at the beginning that [the relationship] would be this strong, that I would fall in love with her. I didn’t expect it, honestly. But after a while, I felt that she was the woman of my life.”
Speaking to Elle Spain in December 2025, Rodríguez recalled being “shocked” when Ronaldo unexpectedly proposed.
“The truth is, when he proposed, it was the last thing on my mind,” she told the magazine.
“It took me a long time to process the enormous stone he gave me. I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it in the sunlight until the next day.”
Describing the engagement ring as “gorgeous,” she joked: “It’s the least he could offer me after 10 years of waiting.”
