Love is not in the air for Demi Moore and Joe Jonas as they are merely “friends,” a source told Us Weekly, stating, “There’s nothing romantic going on between them.” This news follows sightings of Joe and Demi having lunch at a hotel in France.
During the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, the pair, 34-year-old Jonas and 61-year-old Moore were seen enjoying a sunny lunch at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, sparking curiosity.
Moore attended the festival for the premiere of her new movie, “The Substance,” which received a 13-minute standing ovation. She also hosted the amfAR gala, aimed at fundraising for HIV and AIDS research.
Joe made an unexpected appearance on stage at this event alongside his brother, Nick Jonas.
Moore and Joe’s friendly outing comes days after it was confirmed that the Jonas Brothers member and Stormi Bree had put their relationship on pause.
“Joe has a very busy schedule with his kids and career, so his romantic life has to take a back seat for now,” an insider said at the time.
In January, Joe and Bree, 33, were seen together at a private airport in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, sparking rumors of a romance. This was Joe’s first public relationship since his divorce from Sophie Turner in September 2023.
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” they stated in a joint Instagram post.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly, this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Although Joe and Turner’s separation began smoothly, complications arose. In October 2023, Turner, aged 28, sued Joe, accusing him of “wrongfully detaining” their daughters, Willia, 3, and Delphine, 22 months, in New York City while she was in the UK.
Joe refuted these accusations, and a temporary custody settlement was reached that month. British Vogue reported in May that the lawsuit was dismissed in January.
Joe has sought to continue mediation with Turner. According to court documents, Joe and Turner aim to “resolve all matters amicably.”
Moore has experienced her share of high-profile relationships. She first married Freddy Moore and then Bruce Willis in 1987 after meeting him at the “Stakeout” premiere, which starred her then-fiancé Emilio Estevez.
Following their marriage, Demi and Willis, now 69, welcomed daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah in 1988, 1991, and 1994, respectively.
They announced their separation in June 1998 and filed for divorce two years later, which was finalized on the same day they filed their papers in October 2000.
She later married Ashton Kutcher, a star of “That ‘70s Show,” in September 2005. The couple separated in November 2011 and completed their divorce two years later.
Demi was last seen with Daniel Humm, attending Paris Fashion Week together in 2022. They confirmed their relationship after being seen together, but it ended less than a year later.
