Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Finally Marry in Las Vegas

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally married in Las Vegas, a marriage license showed.

The superstar couple tied the knot on Saturday, July 16, nearly 20 years after getting engaged for the first time and breaking up, blaming “excessive media attention.”

Lopez confirmed the news yesterday. In a statement on her “OntheJLo” website, she wrote: “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”

The singer also said she and Affleck had traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, and queued with four other couples to obtain a marriage license.

“They were right when they said, ‘all you need is love’. We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to,” she added.

Moreover, the Clark County Clerk’s Office in Nevada revealed that, according to its record system, JLo had requested to change her name to Jennifer Affleck.

The two Hollywood celebrities first met on the set of “Gigli” in 2002 and got engaged a year later.

They called off their engagement in 2003 but got back together last year. In April, Lopez announced that she was engaged to the actor once again.

Since then, the couple has posted photos and videos online, showing their families sharing vacations and trips. Fans have nicknamed their relationship “Bennifer,” the same monicker used when they dated in the 2000s.

The two became romantically involved and even married other celebrities during their 17-year breakup.

Lopez married singer Marc Anthony in 2004, but they separated ten years later. The couple had two children together.

The Ain’t Your Mama singer then dated former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez. They got engaged in 2019 but split in 2021.

Meanwhile, Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner in 2018. The couple, who broke up in 2018, share three children.

The actor also dated Cuban star Ana de Armas after meeting her on the set of “Deep Water,” but they broke up in January last year.
