Justin Bieber and Hailey are officially parents! At 30, the musician and his wife, a 27-year-old model and entrepreneur, are celebrating the arrival of their first child, with Justin announcing the news on Friday, Aug. 23.
“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” exclaimed Justin in a heartfelt Instagram post. Shortly after, Hailey echoed the sentiment on her Instagram Stories, adding a teddy bear and a blue heart emoji next to their son’s name.
Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, shared her excitement on Twitter: “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!”
The news of the pregnancy first broke in May 2024 when the couple shared the delightful announcement on Instagram. A representative for Hailey later confirmed that she was just over six months pregnant.
During their vow renewal ceremony, Hailey was radiant in a long, lacy white dress and veil, cradling her prominent bump. The couple posed together in a pastoral setting, with Justin lovingly embracing her, their wedding bands on display.
Hailey chose a simple caption for the moment, tagging her husband.
Justin and Hailey first exchanged vows in September 2018 at a courthouse in New York City, just two months post-engagement. They later held a larger celebration in Bluffton, South Carolina, where they exchanged vows and Tiffany rings at sunset.
In October, Hailey graced the cover of GQ Hype, addressing pregnancy rumors and the public’s fascination. “Recently, everybody was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me multiple times before,” she told the outlet.
“It’s disheartening that I can’t be bloated once without people thinking I’m pregnant,” she remarked. “It would be a lie if I said, ‘Oh yeah, I don’t care.'”
“When the day comes that it is true, you—the internet—will be the last to know,” she candidly added.
Previously, Hailey had spoken about keeping her future children out of the spotlight, though she admitted that might be difficult.
“That was before I was married. I didn’t know who I was going to marry at the time, I’m sure,” she continued.
She expressed anticipation for motherhood despite its challenges, emphasizing the personal nature of the journey.
“It’s such a private, intimate thing. It’s something that’s going to happen when it happens.”
“And honestly, it’s just so hilarious at the end of the day how much people care. Let me do what I want with my body, and you guys can do what you want with your bodies—and let’s just leave it at that,” she said.
Justin has frequently expressed his desire to have children with Hailey. During a December 2020 interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he emphasized his respect for Hailey’s preferences regarding the timing.
“I am going to have as many [babies] as Hailey wishes to have. I’d love to have myself a little tribe,” the “Baby” singer said at the time. “But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do… I think she wants to have a few.”
