Media have revealed that Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are getting closer while filming an upcoming movie in which both participate.
PEOPLE reported on Monday that Wilde y Styles have been dating for “a few weeks” while collaborating on Don’t Worry Darling, a film that Wild is directing.
According to PEOPLE, a source commented that their relationship grew up as they spent time together while making the drama.
“What started out as a close friendship, quickly turned romantic. Everyone saw it coming. During breaks, he’s hasn’t been able to stay away and visited her trailer,” the source said.
Styles, a 26-year-old actor-singer, was seen visiting the trailer of the actress during the filming.
Harry, who was wearing a mask, was reportedly standing outside the door of Wilde’s trailer while she leaned out to chat. People in the filming set said they saw Wilde smiling several times and noted that the couple remained in costume for the movie.
Don’t Worry Darling is a 1950s-set movie that stars Florence Pugh as a housewife.
She finds out a troublesome truth when residing in an isolated California community. Harry Styles plays the husband of Pugh’s character -he replaced Shia LaBeouf shortly after the production began.
Olivia Wilde was in charge or writing the movie with the help of Katie Silberman, her Booksmart collaborator.
The source also told PEOPLE that the pair “have dated for a few weeks”. These comments came after Olivia and Styles were seen holding hands at a friend’s wedding last weekend.
“They were in Montecito, California this weekend for a wedding,” the source said.
“They were affectionate around their friends, held hands and looked very happy,” the source added.
The stars’ reps have not commented about the rumors yet.
Don’t Worry Darling has the Academy Award nominee designer Arianne Phillips as its main costume designer and it is considered an “incredibly stylistic” movie. Wilde said that she was so excited to have Styles as a part of it, noting that he brings his enthusiasm to the film.
“She (Phillips) and I did a little victory dance when we heard that we officially had Harry in the film because we knew that he has a real appreciation for fashion and style. And this movie is incredibly stylistic. It’s very heightened and opulent, and I’m really grateful that he is so enthusiastic about that element of the process—some actors just don’t care,” she explained.
“To me, he’s very modern,” said Wilde of Styles.
“And I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has—truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity—is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world. I think he is in many ways championing that, spearheading that. It’s pretty powerful and kind of extraordinary to see someone in his position redefining what it can mean to be a man with confidence, ” she added.
