Paris Hilton made an emotional return to the charred ruins of her Malibu beach house, destroyed in the devastating fires across Southern California.
The revelation came just a day after the 43-year-old TV personality confirmed she had watched her property burn to the ground on live TV. She had bought the two-story residence in 2021 for $8.4 million, which featured a path leading down to La Costa beach.
On Thursday, Hilton uploaded a heartbreaking video to her Instagram, sharing the remnants of her home, shocked by the devastation.
In the video, she navigates through the still-standing entrance, only to reveal that the rest of the house had turned into rubble due to the Pacific Palisades fire.
Paris wrote, “I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable.”
“When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock—I couldn’t process it. But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces.”
She said that the house “wasn’t just a place to live—it was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family.”
“It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll cherish forever, where love and life filled every corner. To see it reduced to ashes… it’s devastating beyond words.”
Hilton confessed that the pain was deepened by knowing that her loss was part of a larger tragedy.
“So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives.”
Yet, amidst the loss, Paris felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude, “I’m incredibly lucky—my loved ones, my children, and my pets are all safe.”
“That’s the most important thing, and I’m holding onto that gratitude with everything I have. I’m beyond grateful to all the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers risking their lives to fight these fires.”
She shared that the support she has received has been a beautiful reminder that “kindness still exists in this world.”
“And to everyone going through this pain, please know you’re not alone. We’re in this together. We will rebuild, we will heal, and we will rise stronger than before.”
Concluding her message, the actress added, “Let this be a reminder to hold your loved ones close. Cherish the moments. Life can change in an instant, and it’s the love we share that truly matters. I’m sending all my love to everyone who is hurting right now.”
Shocking images released on Thursday show the remains of Hilton’s Malibu beach house. The house featured three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.
While parts of the front entrance walls still stand, the rest of the home has been completely destroyed. The neighboring properties along the highway next to Hilton’s home have also succumbed to the fire.
A few solitary trees remain standing, stripped bare and blackened by the fire. Smoke lingered over the ruins as the sun set. The vacation home, once known for its numerous balconies with scenic views of the Pacific, was also devastated.
Celebrities like Candy Spelling and Diane Warren also lost their homes in the destructive Palisades fire, which has claimed ten lives so far. The Los Angeles Times noted that around 5,300 structures were destroyed in the Palisades fire alone.
The Eaton fire, affecting areas near Altadena and Pasadena, has destroyed between 4,000 and 5,000 structures as of Thursday.
Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley remarked, “The Palisades fire is one of the most destructive natural disasters in the history of Los Angeles.”
NBC News reported that the fires, driven by strong Santa Ana winds starting Tuesday, have displaced approximately 180,000 people across Southern California.
Other well-known figures including Anthony Hopkins, Tina Knowles, Jeff Bridges, Miles Teller, and John Goodman have lost their homes in these fires.
