Prince Harry is reportedly planning a return to the UK after consulting with former trusted aides, according to sources.
The Duke of Sussex is said to have reached out via WhatsApp to several friends in the UK who are prepared and eager to assist him in his potential return from his time in the United States.
The Mail on Sunday reports that the prince has turned to acquaintances from his past as a working royal, apparently unhappy with the guidance from his US-based public relations consultants.
This development follows the departure of yet another American PR adviser, just weeks after their chief of staff resigned only three months into the job.
Harry abandoned his royal duties and relocated to the US with Meghan in 2020, but recent speculations indicate a possible change in his plans.
It has been reported that the Duke has been actively messaging several UK friends who are ready to assist him in creating a seamless return to Britain, a mission they’ve humorously named ‘Operation Bring Harry In From The Cold.’
A source has shared with MailOnline how the prince is “seeking counsel from his old friends and associates.”
They added, “He is clearly reaching out thinking, ‘I need to do something different because what I’m doing is clearly not working.’ In short, he is rethinking the way he operates.”
Harry has reportedly consulted a reliable figure from his earlier circle, known for their loyalty and discretion. A friend has drafted a plan on how Harry might reintegrate into UK society and possibly carry out “very low-key royal duties.”
The source mentioned that if Harry returns to the UK quietly, participating in ordinary events without seeking publicity, he might manage to mend his relationship with the British public.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen at a Los Angeles airport after an 18-hour flight, with Harry appearing downcast as he walked behind Meghan.
Royal commentator Tom Quinn observed that Harry seemed distressed, possibly due to his recent short trip to the UK in May, aimed at visiting King Charles, who was reportedly unavailable.
Speaking to The Mirror, Tom remarked, “Harry tried desperately to put a brave face on it during his recent visit to the UK, but his real feelings were apparent when he landed back in Los Angeles. It was impossible not to see how downcast and upset he looked.”
“And it’s no surprise because he had hoped to see his father, and for a good deal longer than their 30-minute meeting last time he was in the UK.”
