Ye Drops New Song Featuring Diddy and Daughter North West

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has released a new track featuring Sean “Diddy” Combs, despite his current controversies, along with appearances from Combs’ son, King Combs, and Ye’s daughter, North West.

The song, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” was released via a post on X/Twitter on Saturday, March 15.

Ye’s post includes a video that remains blank throughout the song’s 4-minute and 44-second runtime, captioned: “LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE new song by PUFF DADDY feat. his son KING COMBS, my daughter NORTH WEST, and new Yeezy artist from Chicago, Jasmine Williams.”

Currently in prison awaiting trial on multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, Combs is featured in the song during a phone call, where he says, “I wanna just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man.”

He expresses his gratitude: “Nobody reached out to them, nobody called them.”

In response, Ye is heard saying, “Absolutely, I love you so much, man. You raised me, even when I didn’t know you, you know what I’m saying?”

Included in the track is Ye’s 11-year-old daughter North West, who contributes with her own rap: “When you see me shining, then you see the light.”

North is emerging as an artist, having previously collaborated with her father and last year announced plans for her debut album.

Before releasing the song, Ye allegedly shared private screenshots of a conversation with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, mother to North and his three other children.

According to TMZ, Ye declared in the messages, “I’m never speaking with you again.”

“I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop,” Kardashian allegedly said.

“I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark!”

TMZ also noted that Kardashian claimed they had agreed to trademark the names of all their children at birth to prevent others from using them.

Ye’s reply was firm: “Amend it, or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.”

His relationship with social media has been tumultuous, following an anti-Semitic rant that led him to deactivate his X/Twitter account.
