One of the most powerful entertainment companies in history and its eponymous streaming service are finally ready to take off in the kingdom.
Disney Plus, under the name “Disney+ Hotstar,” arrives in Thailand on June 30. The global giant comes in full force, including an outstanding catalog of Disney + Originals, National Geographic, Marvel Studios, and much more.
Additionally, allowing simultaneous two-screen streaming per account, the annual subscription package will be available for 799 baht.
At an online press conference in early June, Disney + announced a breathtaking lineup comprising the year’s biggest releases: WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki. Furthermore, it will include Luca, The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and The Mysterious Benedict Society.
But that is not all. Thai users will also be able to enjoy a wealth of Asian content.
Thanks to an agreement with local Thai studios such as GDH599, Sahamongkolfilm, One 31, and Kantana, Disney+ Hotstar will feature a wide selection of Thai movies and series, as well as some productions from China, Taiwan, and Japan.
Besides, National Geographic prepared its back catalog of world-exploring documentaries that will take viewers on endless journeys around the planet.
There are some options for music fans, like Taylor Swift’s latest documentary and a live session on folklore, titled Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. Moreover, K-series fans can watch the popular sci-fi film Seobok, starring Gong Yoo.
The platform will have more than 700 movies and 14,000 series episodes available from June 30 for a subscription package priced at 99 baht per month -besides the annual package.
