New Kardashian Reality Show Comes Sooner Than Expected

The Kardashian-Jenner family will be back to the small screen sooner than expected with an underway reality show for Hulu, Variety reported this week.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians ended in June after 20 seasons with 280 episodes, numerous spin-offs, and six TV specials broadcasted on E! However, the famous family announced in December 2020 that they had signed an exclusive contract with Disney to create “global content” for Hulu in the United States and for Star in multiple international territories.

Back then, Kris Jenner tweeted: “Excited to announce our new multi-year partnership with Hulu and Star and what’s to come in 2021 @hulu.”

Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian also celebrated the announcement, tweeting the hashtag “Hulu2021.”

Variety reported that the family had turned to Fulwell 73 to produce the next series, with company partner Ben Winston serving as executive producer, as well as Emma Conway and Elizabeth Jones.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ premise originated with US media personality Ryan Seacrest, who was also the show’s executive producer. According to Variety, Seacrest will be on board again as an executive producer for the upcoming reality show, which is yet to be titled.

It would be the first arrival of the Kardashian-Jenner family’s multi-year content deal with Hulu and Star.

There is no exact release date yet. However, when the deal was announced last year, Disney promised fans that the world-famous family’s content would be available in late 2021.

Also, during the Disney Upfronts event in May, Kris Jenner described the show as “the next chapter,” saying: “In the new show, you’ll see us evolving as a family. Fans want us to be who we are, and since moment one, they’ve been emotionally invested in our show, just like we are.”

Some Kardashians who will star at the new show are known to work behind the scenes as well, including Jenner and her three daughters Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, and Kourtney Kardashian. They will be executive producers.

Variety also confirmed that Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who also signed the deal, would appear in front of the camera again.
