Late on Wednesday, Manchester City achieved a sensational 2-0 victory over their city rivals Manchester United and earned a place in the Final of this season’s EFL Cup.
They will now take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Final at Wembley on April 25th.
During the first half, both teams had clear chances and goals ruled out for offside.
In the 9th minute, Zackary Steffen made an amazing save after a header by Bruno Fernandes. Four minutes later, Kevin De Bruyne hit a strike that rattled the post when Henderson was beaten.
In the 50th minute, Phil Foden took a free kick and through a great cross assisted centre back John Stones, who sent the ball into the back of the net and scored the first goal for the Citizens.
In the 83rd minute, Wan-Bissaka cleared a City’s corner kick poorly and it dropped perfectly for Fernandinho, who hit a powerful and precise volley that meant the second goal for the visitors.
Now, Mancester City will face Spurs in the final. Tottenham beat Brentford 2-0 in their Semi-Final on Tuesday thanks to goals from Moussa Sissoko and Son Heung-Min.
Guardiola’s men are dreaming of their eighth title in this tournament and fourth in a row. Last year, the beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the Final.
