Salah Scores As Liverpool Wins in Madrid Against Atletico

Mohamed Salah once again showed his superb form as Liverpool remains perfect after three rounds in the Champions League by beating Spanish champions Atletico Madrid 2-3.

In a dynamic and fantastic match in the Spanish capital, the Reds saw an early two-goal lead wiped out by Antoine Griezmann’s double.

Early in second half France forward was shown a straight red card, allowing the visitors to reassert their authority and steal a big win through Salah’s penalty, awarded for a clumsy barge on Diogo Jota by Mario Hermoso.

Earlier, Salah had given the Reds the lead after eight minutes of play before Naby Keita’s brilliant volley doubled it five minutes later.

Griezmann’s neat close-range finish and then superb turn and shot across Alisson restored Atletico’s hopes, all before the break.

The last word went to Salah who took Liverpool to the win with his 31st Champions League goal which put him on top of Liverpool’s record list with one more than Steven Gerrard.

Jurgen Klopp’s side is now unbeaten in 21 games in all competitions and continues to play offensively and is a constant threat for its opponents.

In their last nine matches, they have racked up 30 goals and have scored at least three times in all of their seven away games.

PSG came back from a goal down to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 with Leo Messi scoring twice.

Kylian Mbappe put the hosts ahead, but Andre Silva and Nordi Mukiele scored from Angelino’s cross to put the German side ahead.

In the middle of the second half, Messi scored twice in a period of eight minutes to win three points for PSG.

Real Madrid quickly recovered after the loss to Sheriff in the last rounds as they won 5-0 in Donetsk against Shakhtar.
