Unstoppable England Crush Ukraine To Qualify for Semi-Finals

On Saturday, the England national team gave a real football lesson and defeated Ukraine 4-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (Italy) in a match corresponding to the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.

Gareth Southgate’s men lived up to expectations and are now among the top four teams in the competition.

In the fourth minute, Raheem Sterling mesmerised his opponents and played a precise pass to Harry Kane, who, after being one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper, did not hesitate and scored the first goal of the match.

In the first minute of the second half, Luke Shaw took a free kick and, with an accurate header, defender Harry Maguire made it 2-0. After this goal, the Ukrainians’ motivation crumbled.

In the 50th minute, Shaw sent another pinpoint cross into the box that Kane converted for his side’s third goal.

But the Three Lions were hungry for more and in the 63rd minute, Jordan Henderson’s header from a corner kick (taken by Mason Mount) meant the fourth goal of the match.

In the other match, resilient Denmark defeated Czech Republic 2-1.

In this way, England and Denmark will meet in a promising semi-final, which will take place at the legendary Wembley Stadium.

The illusion of winning their first European Championship is more alive than ever for England fans.
