Man City vs PSG Headlines the Champions League Draw

Manchester City and PSG are drawn in the Group A of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League season along with RB Leipzig from Germany and Club Bruges from Belgium.

Premier League champions are in the final stage of negotiations to land Cristiano Ronaldo on ‘Etihad’ which brings the possibility of Messi vs Ronaldo clash in the group stage.

The ceremony took place in Istanbul, Turkey where 32 teams were split into eight groups of the first round of the elite European competition.

The reigning champions Chelsea will face the Serie A giants Juventus as well as Russian team Zenit St.  Petersburg and Malmo from Sweden.

Probably the toughest group is Group B with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, Premier League runner-up Liverpool, Porto and AC Milan.

The Italian champion Inter Milan will go against Real Madrid in Group D together with Shakhtar Donetsk from Ukraine and the first-timers Sheriff Tiraspol from Moldova.

The finalist of last season’s Europa League Villareal and Manchester United are in Group F with Italian side Atalanta and Young Boys from Switzerland.

Another first round must-watch is the duel between Bayern Munich and Barcelona who are in Group E with Benfica, Dynamo Kyiv.

The first round of the group stage is scheduled for 14th and 15th of September while the last one for 7th and 8th of December.

The final match is scheduled for May 22, 2022 at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
