Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Khalid is heading back to Thailand later this year with the “It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour,” which is set to take place at UOB LIVE, Emsphere.
The global talent is behind a number of well-known hits that many music fans will instantly recognise, such as “Lovely,” “Young Dumb & Broke,” “Better,” “Silence,” “Beautiful People,” and “Location.” Scheduled for Sunday, November 29, this upcoming show marks his long-awaited return to the Thai capital following the success of his debut performance in 2018.
Fresh from 23 sold-out dates across the United States, Khalid now brings the phenomenal production to Bangkok, promising an immersive live experience shaped by his captivating stage presence, unmistakably smooth vocals, and distinctive blend of R&B, pop, and soul.
He’s also set to perform in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur as part of the tour, launched on the heels of his new album, “After The Sun Goes Down,” a critically praised 17-track record featuring two standout singles, “In Plain Sight” and “Nah.”
Since rising to prominence, the 28-year-old has established himself as one of the defining voices of his generation, racking up 35.6 billion streams worldwide and collaborating with numerous renowned artists, including Billie Eilish, Halsey, Benny Blanco, and Ed Sheeran.
Khalid began writing and creating music while still in high school, uploading his early work to SoundCloud before breaking through with “Location.” This song generated widespread attention, helping him secure a key label deal with Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records.
This momentum soon led to the release of the first studio album, “American Teen,” in 2017, which went on to receive 4x platinum certification. The project featured a list of prominent songs, especially “Young Dumb & Broke,” whose carefree yet honest portrayal of teenage life and youthful invincibility struck a chord with many younger listeners around the world.
In 2019, Khalid released the second album, “Free Spirit,” debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The singer also became the first-ever artist to occupy all five top spots on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart and later returned with his widely praised album, “Sincere,” in 2024.
