Joji To Make Bangkok Comeback With “SOLARIS” Tour in November

Beloved alternative R&B star Joji is set to bring his celebrated “SOLARIS” tour to Bangkok this November, a move already generating major excitement among fans across Thailand.

The Japanese-Australian singer will perform live at IMPACT Exhibition Center’s Hall 5 for a one-night-only concert on Tuesday, November 24, delivering a magical evening of deeply emotional moments sure to prompt a full crowd singalong. He previously headlined “Very Festival 2023” in the city, where he secured widespread praise from those in attendance.

Known for hits including “Slow Dancing in the Dark,” “Glimpse of Us,” and “Sanctuary,” Joji has built a massive following through an evocative sound rooted in themes of heartbreak, solitude, and yearning, expressed in a way that resonates on a profoundly personal level.

His “SOLARIS” tour was announced shortly after the February release of the fourth album, “Piss In The Wind,” a renowned record that connects his past sonic identity to an evolving creative direction, balancing melancholic lyricism with brooding, atmospheric production.

Consisting of 21 tracks, the album debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and features well-received tunes such as “PIXELATED KISSES,” “If It Only Gets Better,” and “LOVE YOU LESS,” alongside collaborations with core artists like Giveon, 4batz, Yeat, and Don Toliver.

George Kusunoki Miller, known professionally as Joji, first stepped into the spotlight in the early 2010s after creating chaotic and deliberately provocative comedy content under the characters “Filthy Frank” and “Pink Guy” on his YouTube channel “The Filthy Frank Show.”

He began exploring music around 2015, later committing to a full-time career after signing with 88rising and 12Tone Music Group in 2017. This culminated in the release of the debut studio album “Ballads 1” in 2018, followed by the 2020 sophomore effort “Nectar,” both of which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and propelled him to global prominence.

Two years on, he followed with his third album, “SMITHEREENS,” which includes “Glimpse of Us,” one of his most successful tracks to date. The single topped charts across multiple countries and became the first by an Asian artist to hit number 1 on Spotify’s Global Chart.

During his upcoming “SOLARIS” tour stop in Bangkok, fans can expect a newly conceived production centered on a mesmerising live experience, featuring a remarkable setlist that spans both earlier work and the recent record. Tickets to this show start from THB 3,000.
