The Script Greatest Hits Tour Bangkok Tickets Now on Sale

Irish rock band The Script have fifteen years and six studio albums under their belt, which seems about right to warrant recently bringing out a career-spanning greatest hits album.

Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power have embarked on the Greatest Hits Tour 2022, stopping in cities all over the world following the release of the compilation of their most popular songs, named Tales From The Script. Bangkok is one of the confirmed Asian stops on the tour: Wednesday, September 28 is the date to mark in your calendars.

The concert, organised by Live Nation Tero, will be at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, with tickets for the highly-anticipated show going on public sale on Friday, July 1. Natives of Dublin, Ireland, the lads last performed in the Thai capital in April 2018, also at Impact.

Tales From The Script rounds up all of the biggest hits and fan favourites from six records so far. It has all of the classic cuts from the trio’s catalogue, taking in the likes of smash hit ‘Hall of Fame’ (featuring will.i.am) and the Top 10 hits ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’, ‘For The First Time’ and ‘Superheroes’ – songs which have given The Script worldwide fame.

Since the get-go fifteen years ago, the band have experienced huge success: Tales From The Script is a collection honouring the boys’ hugely-impressive achievements together.

A self-described “Celtic soul” outfit with diverse influences that include The Neptunes, U2, Van Morrison and Timbaland, The Script was founded by vocalist Danny O’Donoghue and guitarist Mark Sheehan in 2007, following the disbandment of the Irish boyband Mytown.

After failing to generate any level of international stardom from Mytown, O’Donoghue and Sheehan then spent a couple of years in Los Angeles, working in the production teams of Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins and The Neptunes, where they built many industry contacts.

Later relocating back to Dublin, they went on to link up with drummer Glen Power, coming out with debut single ‘We Cry’ in 2008 to widespread acclaim and caught the attention of influential BBC Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley. Their eponymous album The Script was a smash hit that year, topping the charts in many countries and putting the group firmly on the map.

They have remained audience favourites in the UK, releasing Top Five albums like 2010’s Science & Faith, 2017’s Freedom Child, and 2019’s Sunsets & Full Moons. Massive global popularity on the back of those albums has seen them embark upon a number of tours.

Their show in September in Bangkok is sure to be a tremendous event, and one that you won’t want to miss. Tickets start at THB 1,500 and are on sale now. For ticket availability, and Covid-19 safety information, please visit: www.livenation.co.th or call: 02-262-3838.
