Lady Gaga has been spotted wearing some new jewelry. On Sunday, the renowned 38-year-old artist was caught on camera with a large diamond ring on her left hand, sparking rumours of an engagement to her boyfriend, Michael Polansky.
During a visit to a friend’s place in West Hollywood, the “Bad Romance” artist was dressed in a long black coat and carried a large woven handbag, with her platinum blonde hair styled in a tight bun.
She complemented her outfit with black heels, sunglasses, and notably, a large diamond ring that was visible beneath the sleeve of her coat.
This new piece of jewelry has led fans to speculate if Gaga and Polansky, a Harvard-educated tech mogul, investor, and philanthropist, are planning to tie the knot.
The duo first came into the public eye in 2020, after they were seen sharing a kiss at a New Year’s Eve celebration in Las Vegas. They confirmed their relationship on Instagram shortly after, showing affection at the Super Bowl in Miami in 2020.
As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, Gaga and Polansky chose to quarantine together, which seemed to strengthen their relationship.
A source close to Gaga shared in April 2020 that the couple was spending a lot of time at Gaga’s place, opting for home delivery for meals as they isolated themselves. Over time, the couple has kept a low profile while supporting each other’s ventures.
In November 2021, it was reported that their charitable work brought them closer: Polansky leads the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, and since 2012, Gaga has championed mental health through her Born This Way Foundation.
“Michael is very sweet and supportive,” the insider added. “He is hardworking as well, so he appreciates her focus. They are a great team.”
It was also mentioned that Gaga isn’t hurrying toward engagement, as she and Polansky seem to already embody a married couple’s dynamic.
“When they are together, it’s obvious that Gaga is crazy about him,” the source added. “She always giggles and touches him. They are very affectionate and have the best chemistry.”
Gaga has previously been engaged to Christian Carino, a relationship that was public in 2017 but ended by 2019. She was also engaged to her long-term partner Taylor Kinney before their relationship concluded in July 2016.
