Scoozi Urban Pizza Joins the Destinations Eats Line-Up

Destinations Eats (DE), a part of Destination Group (DG), added the successful Scoozi Italian Restaurant Ltd from Thailand to its roster.

The decision to acquire the Scoozi chain could reflect the Destination Group’s desire to expand its food and beverage offering by Destination Eats into the popular Italian pizza category, which has significantly grown in the country over the past two decades.

Gary Richard Murray, President and Founder of Destination Group, said: “We are delighted to expand our range of food and beverage brands in the Thai market, especially so with such a well-established brand as Scoozi.”

“Scoozi is now relaunching under the Scoozi -Urban Pizza brand, inspired by its legacy to reclaim what made it great,” he added.

The restaurant opened its first location in Bangkok in 1997 and managed to have 24 branches in 2018. All specialized in Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas and pasta for dine-in and delivery markets.

They also gained recognition in the local market for their craft-style pizzas.

This Scoozi repositioning will allow restaurants to deliver a faster and more casual dining experience, moving away from its haute cuisine feel. They will also have new interior designs with more modern environments, which will make them a destination for everyone.

Mr. Jourdan Perez, Managing Director of Scoozi, said: “Scoozi, Urban Pizza is all about fresh ingredients and having fun coupled with a new millennium take on modern Italian casual dining and cuisine.”

He also said that they had revamped their menu by adding some exciting flavors from Thailand, Japan, and Korea.
