“Taste of Summer” Khao Chae Promotion at Siam Tea Room

To celebrate the “Taste of Summer” in Thailand, Siam Tea Room launched its new Khao Chae promotion.

The authentic Thai cuisine restaurant at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park will allow diners to enjoy the fresh and fragrant flavours of Khao Chae, an elegant but distinctive dish whose name literally means “soaked rice.”

It is a cold rice dish infused with jasmine and classic seasonings that will captivate even the most demanding palates.

For the next three months, Khao Chae’s set menu at Siam Tea Room will delight customers, starting with an amuse-bouche of icy santol, bitter orange, shredded pork, and fried shallots.

For the main course, it will offer a varied carte of exquisite options.

It includes jasmine rice in chilled jasmine-infused water served with fried herbal fish and shrimp paste, shallot stuffed with deep-fried minced fish, green pepper stuffed with shrimp, minced pork, sweetened shredded sun-dried ray fish, and more.

Besides, as the sweet and refreshing companion for this unique epicurean experience, the restaurant will offer a fresh watermelon soda (for dine-in guests only).

Khao Chae has become a must-have dish during the summer, giving Thais a fresh and delicious alternative to eat. Moreover, it is the annual dish of Songkran, Thailand’s New Year festival.

This soaked rice will be available in the Siam Tea Room every day from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Diners will be able to try the elegant dish from March 1 to May 31 for a price of THB 590 ++ per set (dine-in) or THB 490 ++ per set (take away). For more information or reservations, call +66 (0) 2059 5999 or send an email to restaurant-reservations.bkkqp@marriotthotels.com
