Asiatique The Riverfront: Disney Plan for Attractions Confirmed

Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real-estate group, Asset World Corporation (AWC), has teamed up with The Walt Disney Company to introduce new Disney experiences to the historic Asiatique The Riverfront Destination.

AWC and the world’s leading media and entertainment company plan to expand the already phenomenal attractions of the popular and original tourism hub on the Chao Phraya river to bring more excitement to Bangkok’s vibrant lifestyle.

Asiatique The Riverfront Destination houses a living museum and festival market with a unique panoramic view of the capital’s majestic and impressive river. In 2020, the site was revitalized to offer three new attractions under the Heritage Alive concept.

Sirimahannop Tall Ship, Living Museum & Art Festival, and New Mega Riverside F&B Destination now attract tourists from all over the country and the world, there to admire the hub’s colonial architectural style that perfectly blends western and indigenous arts.

Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, Chief Executive Officer and President, Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), said the corporation’s representatives were thrilled that the new strategic partnership with the entertainment giant set a new benchmark for bolstering Thai tourism.

“Disney has captivated and entertained people around the world for generations, and together we will combine our passion to work towards launching new Disney experiences at this historic riverside destination between the end of this year and into 2023 as we join hands to create a true magical destination for visitors,” Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat commented.

Asiatique The Riverfront Destination, one of the capital’s most popular attractions, announced the partnership with Disney to mark its 10th anniversary.

Since its launch in 2012, AWC has worked hard and explored opportunities to enhance Asiatique The Riverfront Destination’s attractions and offerings, hoping to better respond to the lifestyles of both residents and visitors.

Besides being a pet-friendly place for animal lovers, it houses the cultural and arts space “Living Museum & Arts Festival” and offers a unique gastronomic experience by bringing together a wide variety of delicacies from famous restaurants and street food stalls.

Thanks to its beautiful architecture and its displays of varied pieces of art, it’s also a perfect spot for selfie-crazy people.

Domestic and international tourists flock to visit its open-air shopping venue and capture the majestic view of Bangkok’s skyline on “ASIATIQUE SKY,” Thailand’s largest 60-meter-high Ferris Wheel.

Asiatique The Riverfront Destination is also the ideal hub for history buffs who want to explore what was home to Thailand’s first pier to trade overseas, established during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V).
