Dusit Hotels and Resorts has announced its plans to reopen Dusit Thani Bangkok in September this year. The new hotel is situated in the same location as the original property, which operated from 1970 to 2019.
Suphajee Suthumpun, Group Chief Executive of Dusit International, stated, “The new Dusit Thani Bangkok is more than just a hotel.”

With 257 rooms, fewer than the original hotel’s 517, the 39-story hotel offers ample space for guests. Its distinctive corridor layout ensures that every room has a view of the scenic Lumpini Park.
Since its opening in 1970, the original Dusit Thani Bangkok was famous for hosting one of the city’s most elegant ballrooms. The new facility continues this legacy with its extensive event and meeting spaces, which span over 5,000 square meters.
The design of the new Dusit Thani Bangkok carefully integrates signature features from the original property, which were meticulously removed and preserved for inclusion in the new building.
Ms. Suphajee remarked, “By blending tradition with innovation, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok is designed to surprise and delight both long-time fans of the original hotel and new generations of travelers.”
She further noted, “This reimagined landmark serves as a model for exciting new services and experiences across Dusit Hotels and Resorts worldwide.”

Located at the heart of Dusit Central Park, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok is a component of a major 46-billion-baht mixed-use project.
This development includes ultra-luxury residences (Dusit Residences and Dusit Parkside), a state-of-the-art office tower, a high-end retail center, and a Roof Park covering 11,200 square meters. These additional components are expected to open throughout 2025.
