GWM’s TANK 500 Hybrid SUV received over 1,000 pre-sale reservations at the recent Bangkok International Motor Show, as reported by Great Wall Motor.
Having already sold more than 200,000 TANK 500 units globally since its debut, GWM is optimistic about the vehicle’s success in the Thai market.
The latest model is based on GWM’s TANK super hybrid framework, which combines engines, motors, differential locks, and a TOD four-wheel-drive system.
Inside, the vehicle boasts a plush interior featuring a sizable, centrally located smart control screen, a digital instrument panel, and leather seating.
The TANK 500 incorporates double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension systems, designed to ensure a smooth driving experience across various settings, including city streets and off-road terrain.
The TANK 500 boasts impressive off-road capabilities including front and rear electronic differential locks, off-road cruise control, “TANK Turn”, wading depth protection, and the brand’s innovative “Transparent Body” feature.
This unique feature utilizes cameras to provide drivers with a 360-degree view of their surroundings, helping them to navigate challenging terrain with ease and confidence.
A range of driving modes is available, such as normal, sport, eco, and snow. For off-road adventures, drivers can select from six options: sand, rock, 4L, 4H, automatic, and expert.
For those placing a 5,000 baht deposit, GWM Thailand presents a special Value Plus package, which includes a 50,000 baht cash discount, a three-year internet subscription, and an exclusive GWM TANK 500 metal emblem.
This limited-time offer is valid until May 18, after which the official pricing will be disclosed.
