Two years after partnering with Wonderfruit, Nespresso remains committed to its sustainable philosophy.
The premium coffee maker considers sustainability a key philosophy to drive its business while improving people’s lives and caring for the environment.
Last year, Nespresso expanded its cooperation with Wonderfruit Festival, an organizer of lifestyle festivals with the same sustainability values. Both brands work hard to raise awareness and conserve the environment.
The partnership will continue this year, with Wonderfruit’s famous artists creating sculptures out of recycled Nespresso coffee capsules.
One of them is Pin Metal Art, which will be exhibiting works at the Nespresso flagship store in Siam Paragon under the concept “Doing is Everything.” It is part of the “Nespresso x Wonderfruit Uncycled Show Window x Pin Metal Art” collaboration.
The world-renowned coffee maker also invited some celebrities who promote environmental conservation to join the initiative.
All consumers are encouraged to join the activity by taking their coffee capsules to Nespresso drop-off points or through convenient recycling channels. Those who share the sustainable philosophy can also visit the Wonderfruit farm in Chonburi to enjoy a conservation-themed Nespresso coffee bar among the nature and mountains later this year.
Nespresso has driven its operations based on the only thing that can solve all problems and benefit both businesses and communities: sustainability.
Moreover, the brand has reaffirmed its commitment to helping local communities. Through the Reviving Origins group, Nespresso has reactivated coffee production and local coffee economies in countries in conflict or with environmental and economic problems, such as Cuba and Uganda.
The project also benefited those nations’ coffee farmers, who received support to produce quality coffee and develop their own quality of life by generating their own income and helping their communities’ economies.
Nespresso has also improved its operations to reduce its impact on the environment. Hoping to create “endless value” by doing business sustainably, the brand put its used capsules through processes to separate the coffee from the aluminum. This way, the raw materials can be used later.
Some channels set up to receive capsules include Nespresso Boutiques in department stores, but consumers can also return them from home or by mail through Thailand Post offices.
Thanks to all these actions, Nespresso is a world leader in sustainable business and was voted “Coffee brand with the world’s most sustainable production process” by World Financial Magazine in 2021.
