T-OSH Organizes the ‘OSH Avenue International Conference 2023’

The Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (T-OSH), that operates under the Ministry of Labour, hosted the esteemed OSH Avenue International Conference (OAIC) on May 19th and 20th, 2023. The event was held at the popular True Digital Park in Bangkok.

Under the theme ‘Foresight for Safety: Creating Safer and Healthier Lives’ the conference strived to drive forward-thinking advancements, and facilitate knowledge exchange in the domain of safety and occupational health, in relation to Thailand and all around the world.

A thoughtfully selected lineup of keynote speakers from various government, private, and international agencies delved into this subject matter. In addition, the event was a chance for those attending to join activities including presentations on workplace safety systems, and a forum where security professionals exchanged their knowledge within the industry.

Promoting Safety, Collaboration, and Knowledge Exchange

There was tremendous anticipation for the two-day gathering as Mr. Suthi Sukosol, a well-known political official from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister, who is also working with the Ministry of Labour and is a representative of the Minister of Labour, presided over the opening ceremony. In his speech, he spoke about the Ministry’s “Safety Thailand” policy.

At its core, the objective of this policy is to consistently enhance the overall level of safety consciousness. This can be achieved by implementing a thorough and all-encompassing awareness process, adopting concrete safety practices, and fostering a culture of safety.

Additionally, the policy places an emphasis on the development of labour skills to support quality workers, and foster an economy driven by innovation, technology, and creativity. It also encourages social and environmental sustainability, adding to overall development.
