Thailand’s Yellow Line Free Trial Extended Service Hours and Stops

The Thailand Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) recently announced their decision to extend the Yellow Line’s electric train service free trial run.

This extension includes the integration of nine more stops into the service and a lengthening of the operating hours from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Initially introduced on the 3rd of June, the Yellow Line’s pilot service ran between Hua Mark and Samrong stations from 9 AM until 8 PM.

However, following the public’s positive reaction and increasing need, the MRTA has chosen to broaden the trial run to encompass additional stations and provide extended service hours.

The service trial will now incorporate stations stretching from Srinagarind Road to Lat Phrao Road.

Travelers will be able to utilize the Pawana, Chokchai 4, Lat Phrao 71, Lat Phrao 83, Mahadthai, Lat Phrao 101, Bang Kapi, Lam Salee, and Sri Kritha stations.

With this inclusion, the trial service of the Yellow Line will now traverse 30.4 km, stopping at a total of 22 stations.

The Lat Phrao station remains the only one still closed, as the final touches on the sidewalks and nearby road surfaces are yet to be finished.

Throughout the cost-free trial phase, commuters will be given the chance to sample the Yellow Line service and offer crucial feedback, assisting the MRTA in refining the system ahead of its formal inauguration.

The MRTA is urging the general public to take advantage of this trial service and voice their insights and recommendations.

The Yellow Line’s electric train service provides a transportation link for passengers from eastern Bangkok and Samut Prakan to the main mass transit lines of the capital.
